Registration/Checkin for students will begin at 8:00AM Saturday morning in the CORBETT LOBBY located in the FINE ARTS BUILDING at NORTHERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY.
To get there please access NKU from NUNN DRIVE off of US-27/ALEXANDRIA PIKE. If you get directions from map-quest it brings you in this way. The address for NKU can be found at www.nku.edu. Go through the round-about and park either in the PARKING GARAGE next to BANK OF KENTUCKY ARENA or in one of the lots next to it. If you park in the garage you are guaranteed not to be ticketed, but may have to pay a small amount for parking. If you park in a lot there is a slight chance you will receive a ticket. Those tickets generally only matter if you are attending NKU as a student. Tickets have not been a problem at past workshops.
Once you have parked start walking toward the WELCOME CENTER. You should pass LAKE NORSE on your left. The WELCOME CENTER is confronted by a cul-de-sac and is the end of NUNN DRIVE.
SIGNS will begin here directing you where to go.
Walk between the WELCOME CENTER and GREAVES CONCERT HALL. There you will see steps leading up. Go up the steps until you arrive at a brick landing. Turn LEFT and you will find glass doors that will have yellow signs telling you to come in and register. DO NOT go up the second set of steps after the brick landing.
MORNING MEETING will begin at 9:00AM, but you will have to be checked in before then.
At check-in you will be asked to sign a few release forms, pay any remaining balance you may owe, and receive a t-shirt.
BREAKFAST ITEMS will be provided after you check in. This includes muffin items, fruit, coffee and juices.
LUNCH will also be provided on both days.
BRING WATER!!! AND DRINK IT!!!!! We will be providing water on both days, but will only release a certain quantity by certain hours. Water fountains can be found all over campus. We recommend refilling water bottles or bringing one of your own. Dehydration is one of the most common problems faced at a workshop. Eat and Drink!
CLOSING MEETING will occur in the same location as Morning Meeting.
You will be able to sign up for classes shortly after morning meeting and lunch. Please sign up for appropriate leveled classes. If you are a beginner you will be lost in an advanced class. For everyone to have fun we have to acknowledge our own levels. You won't learn anything from an advanced class if you don't understand the basics.
PLEASE wear gym/tennis shoes. No open toed, flip flops, open heel, etc. shoes. Also, please no skirts, kilts, dresses, or low cut tank-tops. Wear clothing that will allow the best amount of movement while maintaining some modesty.
If you are a minor be sure to have emailed me, JOSHUA PIKAR at pikar.cincymarchmadness@yahoo.com, or JONN BACA at cincymarchmadness@yahoo.com, so we can email you release forms to be printed and signed by parents or a guardian.
SATURDAY NIGHT is a party at ARNOLD'S BAR AND GRILL. Directions will be given in your packet at check in.
Please bring LEATHER GLOVES (baseball gloves work perfectly) if you have them. If you do not it's not the end of the world.
